We know what we'll be doing in 2009 - AUSTRALIA!

Naomi received the call we have been waiting not-so patiently for today. Her teaching exchange to Australia was accepted. She will be exchanging jobs (and homes) for all of 2009. We will leave shortly after Christmas this year, and be back just before Christmas next year... but no exact dates yet.... depends on flights and other details. Since we will be married shortly, the exchange administrators will also look after getting me a work visa for the year... so I will have to find a one-year contract there.

We will be living (if I recall correctly) in a NW suburb of Sydney called Castle Hill. Sydney wasn't our first choice, training in a highly urban environment will present a few challenges. However, Sydney is an exciting place, with plenty to see and do, and an easy flight to pretty much anywhere. The weather in Sydney will also beat the -30 with windchill in winter here!!

I'm hoping we can hop over to Asia at least once while we are there... I've always wanted to do Strongman Japan among some other races.

More details as I know them. :-)

Wow, that last comment sounded a little ominous. How was the race? Looks like it was a little toasty out!

Race was just ok. See my latest post. The drive did me in though.

As for that last comment. Laughable. I don't believe in Karma. :-)
